Ayako Fujimoto

Ayako Fujimoto is Corporate Strategy Manager of Ricoh Innovations, reporting directly to the President. She joined RII from Japan in 2007.

Fujimoto joined Ricoh Company, Ltd. in 2000, working as an embedded software engineer in Japan for five years. She was responsible for designing and developing OS programs, libraries and device drivers for MFP and printers, Ricoh’s main products. Fujimoto has filed a number of patents.

From 2005 she has worked as a corporate technology planner. From 2007 through 2010 she served as R&D Planning Manager at Ricoh Innovations (RII), working to bridge the gap between R&D and Ricoh business units, and translate exciting R&D results into meaningful results for RII customers. Her efforts contributed greatly to Ricoh eWriter Solutions (EWS), which launched at the D9 conference in June 2011. In 2010 she became Corporate Strategy Manager at RII.

Fujimoto graduated with a B.E. and an M.A. in physics from Ochanomizu University. Her interests include cooking, reading a variety of books, and taking nature walks.
