
Vikas Krishna
Vikas Krishna is the Chief Software Architect at Ricoh Innovations, Inc. providing software architecture and services leadership on major initiatives across the company in the US, Japan, and India. Previously, Vikas served as the Director of Technology at the California Innovation Center of Ricoh Innovations, leading technical teams working on projects supporting RII's vision of The Infinite Network.
Prior to joining Ricoh Innovations in 2010, Vikas served in senior technical staff member (IBM STSM) and management roles at IBM's Almaden Research Center in San Jose, CA. There, he led a team of researchers and engineers focusing on innovative solutions for IBM’s global services business to provide higher services personnel productivity and better client value propositions. He also led and/or contributed to the design, development and delivery of systems for net mining, web-based service delivery, business-to-business information exchange, integrated analysis of text and data, managed business processes services, and next-generation contact centers, holding several patents in these areas.
Vikas is the recipient of five IBM Outstanding Innovation Achievement (OIA) and Outstanding Technical Achievement (OTA) awards. He has authored over 20 publications and co-edited two books on Service Systems Science and Service Systems Implementation, published by Springer in 2011. Vikas received his Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, India, a Master of Engineering from Memorial University, Canada on a fellowship, and a Master of Science from Syracuse University, New York as a research assistant.
In his spare time, Vikas follows the evolution of commercial aviation, and is an avid tennis player.
