Yoshinori Yamashita

Yoshinori "Jake" Yamashita, Corporate Senior Vice President of Ricoh Company, Ltd., serves as the General Manager of the Corporate Planning Division and New Business Development Center at the Ricoh headquarters office in Tokyo, Japan. He also sits on the Ricoh Innovations' board of directors.

He began his career at Ricoh Company, Ltd. in Japan in 1980, with international work beginning in 1985 by developing suppliers in Taiwan. Over the course of his career with Ricoh, he led the launch of factories in France, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, and served as General Manager of Strategic Planning at Ricoh UK Products Ltd. in England for seven years.

Most recently, from 2008 to 2011, Mr. Yamashita served as the President and CEO of Ricoh Electronics, Inc., a wholly-owned U.S. manufacturing subsidiary of Ricoh Company, Ltd. During his assignment in the U.S., he was appointed as Group Corporate Executive Officer to the Ricoh Company, Ltd. board of directors while he maintained his U.S.-based responsibilities. He played an active part in the local community by volunteering as a member of the Kiwanis International Club of Irvine. To stay true to his philosophy of thinking globally while acting locally, he also served as Vice President of the Japan Business Association of Southern California, a non-profit mutual benefit corporation.

He is a graduate of the National University of Hiroshima, with a degree in management engineering. During his free time, he enjoys hiking with his daughters, traveling around the world, and staying physically active by running, playing ping pong, golf and baseball.
